The College of Science and Engineering (COSE) wants to cultivate wonderful science learning and teaching at all educational levels. The Center for Science and Mathematics Education (the Center or CSME) has been established to this end. The Center seeks to
recruit, prepare, and support good science and mathematics teachers;
foster research into science and mathematics education and promote its application;
and establish a community of science and mathematics education scholars, practitioners, and students.
The Center manages a number of projects and resources and serves as a support to many other education projects within COSE.
The Center has its main offices located in Science 211. The Center also manages the new CSME Annex, which comprises a teaching resource library, a classroom and office space for education projects.
