California Teacher Pathway (Pre-Service)

CSME designs curriculum for this program which supports underserved student populations on a career pathway to STEM K-12 teaching via mentorship and financial support through community college. CSME has designed the STEM Summer Institute, in which future teachers experience engaging STEM pedagogy and work with local out-of-school-time providers to enrich the curriculum with more science and to connect the work to new math and science standards. Partners include 10 CSUs and 13 two-year colleges. It is funded by private foundations.
